This is a community project - NOT a mediumship event.
This year for Valentine’s Day I invite you to help me provide love, haircuts and needed supplies for Sheboygan County Warming Center.
We are seeking local hairdressers and barbers that can come to the warming center in Sheboygan on Wednesday, Feb 14th from 7-10pm and provide haircuts for guests. The unhoused community in Sheboygan replies upon the warming center to stay alive during the bitterly cold winter months. Unhoused people can be homeless, living in their vehicle, out of work or under other poverty circumstances that are preventing them from having safety and shelter.
One of the obstacles these people face is self-care and grooming, which can play a large role in self-esteem and the ability to feel confident as they seek employment.
On Valentine’s Day, I will be working at the Warming Center, along with other Volunteers, to provide the following to guests that evening:
Shampoo and Haircuts
Valentine cupcakes and cookies. (generously donated by CoCoMo and Hair by Julia)
Greeting cards of encouragement from anyone, anywhere!
Needed supplies for guests from an Amazon Wishlist that includes waterproof boots, cold weather items and personal grooming items.
If you are able to participate we would gratefully accept your donations for any of the above.
Our greatest need is for local stylists and barbers willing to donate their time and expertise that evening, or local salons in the vicinity of the warming shelter that would be willing to offer a complimentary service to a warming shelter guest.
